FitDesk 3.0 Review

In this FitDesk 3.0 review, I’ll show you the bike desk me and my kids have been using while working and doing school work from home.

The FitDesk 3.0 is the bike desk me and my kids have been using while working and doing school work from home.

It’s an easy way to maintain active while seating down.

To me it’s almost like cheating because I’m focused on the work in front of me while my legs are moving.

It’s a great exercise bike desk to avoid being sedentary while you work.

Is it the best bike desk?

Well look at its features below and compare it to others bike desks.

It definitely does a great job as an exercise bike desk and if you’re busy working on it, you’ll even forget you’re exercising.

To me, exercising while working seems like the perfect combination.

You burn calories while being productive.

FitDesk 3.0 Features Review

➡️ Massage rollers

The arm rests can be adjusted up or down to better suit your height.

The same arm rests are made of a contoured and padded, heavy duty foam material which serves as massage rollers.

Simply roll your forearms back and forth and you’ll feel the tension and strain relieve on your forearms.

➡️ Cushioned seat and back support

The seat is very nicely cushioned and does not cause any pain.

I ride the bike desk every day anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and I don’t experience any discomfort.

The back rest is also nicely padded and can be adjusted forward to suit people of all sizes.

➡️ Desk Surface

The FitDesk’s desk surface is made up of a non-slip material which prevents things as your phone or other materials from falling off.

The center of the desk surface has a rectangular lid which can be used as a book or tablet center.

This lid is held up by a kick stand which is hidden in the storage compartment underneath.

Underneath this lid you’ll find a storage compartment which can be used for pencils, keys, your wallet, or anything you don’t want on top while you ride.

The desk also has areas where additional accessories such as cup holders can be attached.

➡️ Performance Meter

You’ll find the performance meter on the top center of the desk.

The meter keeps track of the time you’re on the bike desk, distance, speed, and calories.

The meter has a cable that runs from the back of it all the way down to the bike desk’s flywheel and that’s how it keeps track of your stats.

As of this writing I’ve done over 200 miles on the bike desk!

That’s mileage I would’ve never done while sitting on the couch using my laptop.

➡️ Magnetic Tension System

The FitDesk 3.0 operates on magnetic tension technology.

It has 8 levels of resistance that are controlled by a knob.

Level 1 is the easiest level of tension and 8 is the hardest amount of resistance you can apply.

Right below the seat, you’ll also find a resistance band which allows you to exercise your arms while you pedal.

➡️ Made for Different Sized People

The FitDesk’s seat can be adjusted up and down to accommodate different sized people.

It also comes with an additional 4″ extender which raises the seat even higher for people with longer legs.

➡️ Large Pedals

Large and adjustable pedals make riding the FitDesk enjoyable.

Anyone regardless of shoe size can fit comfortably without worrying about slipping off the pedals or fitting in too tightly.

➡️ Fold Easily For Storage

As it is, the FitDesk takes up very little space and with its fold up capability, you can store it in a corner without it getting in the way.

Simply engage the pull pin and the bike desk unlocks, folding in a scissor-like motion.

➡️ Portability

The back legs have rolling wheels which make it easy to transport without having to lift the Fit Desk.

All you have to do is place one foot on the hind leg and grab the arm rest to til the bike back.

Then roll it anywhere you want.

Assembly

Putting together the FitDesk wasn’t difficult at all.

It comes with an instruction manual and all the hardware you need.

Assembly took a little bit less than 30 minutes.

Although you do get all the necessary tools to set it up, I did use a socket wrench to speed up the process.

Design and Build Quality

The FitDesk 3.0’s design is genius.

It’s “X” shaped so it distributes your bodyweight equally making it very stable even if you’re pedaling at a high rate of speed.

The design also allows it to fold up for easy storage.

You simply pull a pin knob below the seat and the bike desk folds up in a scissor-like motion and locks itself.

After folding it, you can use recline it on its hind legs where it has two back wheels.

The wheels make it easy to transport from one spot to another without having to lift the bike.

FitDesk 3.0 Pros and Cons

Pros

  • The desk extension kit gives you the ability to increase the working desk area on the left and right sides.
  • Heigh adjustment makes it easy for both adults and kids to enjoy the benefits of exercise while working or studying.
  • The performance meter keeps track of calories, miles, and time on the bike which keeps you motivated to hit your goals.
  • Small footprint makes it easily portable and less intrusive on your space.
  • The desk surface can also be used as a stand up desk if you stand in front of the desk bike.

Cons

  • Extension kit is not included but it’s not necessary unless you really need a whole lot of work space.

FitDesk 3.0 Review Final Verdict

Unlike other bike desks, I like the fact that the FitDesk also comes with a resistance band to include some sort of upper body activity while you’re riding.

The ability to remain active while reading or working, is a definitely plus and something that shouldn’t be taken lightly as sedentary lifestyles are the major cause of today’s health problems.

Would I recommend the FitDesk 3.0?

Absolutely!

I love it for myself but I also love that my kids enjoy getting on it while they read and do their homework.

It’s a family friendly exercise desk that everyone can enjoy.
