I got pain at the inner adge of scapula, armpit, elbow and back of little finger, I head that it is related to nerve pinching at C7~8, so I tried to find upper spine position that is most comfortable, I got possition similar to your hanging head and tuck thin, but lifting head and shoulder with face down increases pain. I imagine that I need to curve C7~8 backwards, does it mean that C7~8 stretched at the front? It looks that the face down exercises even that it curves backward, the compression of the back muscle also compresses the front end of C7~8.
What about doing isometric exercises with hanging head lay back position.
I like your comments about my imagination/interpretation
I head that sensory exits are in the back, and motor exits are in the front of spine? Does it mean that motor nerve that is pinched. My pain feel as sore caused by exercises or cramps, but concentrated at a point. Is it really pinching of motor nerves
    thank you

If you have to much pain when trying the exercises facing down, you can try doing isometric exercises facing up and push back against whatever you’re lying on.

    Last email was a mistake,
    Heard
The question: is it caused by rheumatic arthritis? Will exercises help?

Disc herniations are not caused by RA. Most of the time they are caused from trauma (car accidents, whiplash, falls, etc).
