How to lift correctly to prevent low back pain

To prevent low back injuries it is very important to learn proper lifting techniques. Follow the steps below to lift heavy or light objects from the floor:

1. Bend from the knees, NOT the waist.
2. Maintain the back straight.
3. Keep the object close to your body.
4. Push up using the legs.
